This is sobering to think about. Our churches are dying and a lot of it has to do with men not being men. He reminded me of Driscol and his emphasis on young adults basically being grown kids. Its a shame to watch…and much more important to watch for in a pastor’s life.
I’m reading the book now, and it is an important read for any person who is thinking about or is in pastoral ministry. “Church Planter” is accessible and practical, while spiritually penetrating. The book is in three parts: The Man, The Message, The Mission. These sections are about what a pastor and church planter (and really any man of God) must be, what and who we proclaim (namely Jesus and his life, death and resurrection), and what God is doing in the world through this message (Mission). I’m only half way through, but if the second half is as good as the first, I recommend it highly.

Interesting….thoughts to ponder.
