Wherever they are, it is obvious that God’s true people do not truly “fit” into this world and its society. For Jesus continued: “If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you” (v. 20). And Jesus called His people the “little flock” (Luke 12:32).

I’m reading the book now, and it is an important read for any person who is thinking about or is in pastoral ministry. “Church Planter” is accessible and practical, while spiritually penetrating. The book is in three parts: The Man, The Message, The Mission. These sections are about what a pastor and church planter (and really any man of God) must be, what and who we proclaim (namely Jesus and his life, death and resurrection), and what God is doing in the world through this message (Mission). I’m only half way through, but if the second half is as good as the first, I recommend it highly.

Pastor Dan, as this is Clergy (or Pastor) Appreciation Month, I would like to say thank you! To see a young man with the desire to serve and honor Jesus in the little backwoods of Michigan….it just warms my heart! May the Lord give you a sense of His presence today that passes all understanding.;-)

Preach it, Brother! It is hard to be a part of the body of Christ if we try to go it alone. Most feet don’t walk around on their own.

But, there are days I yearn for a cave. People are not easy (as I am sure you know). And sometimes I get tired of myself. I am so thankful that Jesus can fill in my gaps.

This line of thinking is exactly what our SP (senior pastor) has been saying lately. So true! Commit to the church in submission to Jesus.

Yeah, yeah! (Can you tell I used to be a cheerleader;-)?
